Al-Kauther Home Services provides hourly maids across every district of Riyadh, with visits of 4 to 8 hours in the morning or evening, and a 4-hour visit with one maid starts from SAR 135. To book, call or WhatsApp 0561940026 and tell us your district, type of home and preferred time.

What is an hourly maid service in Riyadh?
An hourly maid service lets you book a domestic worker for a set number of hours at a time that suits you. She comes to your home, completes the agreed tasks and then leaves. There is no recruitment contract, no room to provide, and no residency or insurance obligations for the family; the company is responsible for the worker, her transport and her paperwork. You simply pay for the hours you need.
You will see the same service described in several ways: hourly maid service, part-time maid, cleaning lady per hour, or maid on demand. In Riyadh they all mean a visit-based helper rather than someone who lives in your home. At Al-Kauther Home Services we offer it flexibly: a one-off visit when you need it, a fixed weekly slot within a monthly package, or more than one maid on the same visit when the home is large or time is short.

How much is a maid per hour in Riyadh?
With Al-Kauther, an hourly maid in Riyadh starts from SAR 135 for a 4-hour visit, which works out at roughly SAR 34 an hour. The more visits you book, the lower the cost per visit: in the 4-visit monthly package each visit comes to about SAR 115, and in the 12-visit package about SAR 110. For context, licensed domestic-labour companies in the Saudi market typically charge somewhere between SAR 135 and SAR 160 for a 4-hour visit, so our price sits at the bottom of that range.
What affects the price of a visit?
- Number of hours: a 4-hour visit starts from SAR 135 and an 8-hour visit from SAR 230.
- Number of maids: two maids for 4 hours start from SAR 290 and finish in roughly half the time.
- Frequency: monthly packages cost less per visit than one-off bookings.
- Size and condition of the home: a two-storey villa after a party is a different job from a small, tidy flat.
- Shift and date: morning or evening, Fridays, holidays and peak seasons, all confirmed at booking.
The quickest way to get an exact price is to WhatsApp us your type of home, the number of rooms and bathrooms, and the tasks you need. We will suggest the right number of hours and confirm the price before the visit is booked. If you need something that is not in the table, such as a big clean-up after a large event, ask for a price on WhatsApp and we will reply with the details.

If you need help regularly, a monthly package is the most economical and the most convenient option. You pick one or more fixed days a week and a fixed morning or evening shift, and the visits arrive all month without you having to rebook each time. Every package is made up of 4-hour visits, so it is still an hourly service, not a contract for a live-in maid.
A package also lets you ask for the same maid on every visit, subject to her availability, so she gets to know your home and where everything goes, and you do not have to explain it all again each time. You can also rotate the work between visits: one for a general clean, one for laundry and ironing, and one for a deeper clean of the kitchen and bathrooms.
What does an hourly maid do?
During a visit the maid takes on the routine housework that eats into a family’s time and energy. The clearer your task list is at booking, the better the hours are used. These are the jobs households in Riyadh ask for most:
- ✓Bedrooms and living areas: dusting surfaces and furniture, vacuuming and mopping floors, making beds and changing bed linen.
- ✓Kitchen: washing up, wiping worktops, marble and the sink, cleaning cupboard fronts and the outside of appliances, and mopping the floor.
- ✓Bathrooms: cleaning basins, toilets, baths and showers, mirrors and nearby tiles, and polishing taps.
- ✓Laundry and ironing: running the washing machine, hanging and folding clothes, ironing thobes and abayas and putting them away.
- ✓Majlis and rugs: vacuuming rugs and floor seating, arranging cushions and wiping tables.
- ✓Windows and glass: cleaning glass from the inside, plus frames, mirrors and glass doors.
- ✓Wardrobes and cupboards: organising clothes, kitchen cupboards and drawers the way you like them.
- ✓Hospitality and occasions: setting tables, serving coffee and tea, then cleaning up afterwards.

Cleaning the majlis and rugs in Riyadh homes
In most Riyadh homes the majlis is a large, well-used room where dust gathers between the floor seating, cushions and rugs. Many clients therefore set aside a fixed part of each visit for it: vacuuming the rugs and seating, shaking out and arranging the cushions, and wiping tables, shelves and window frames. Steam or machine carpet shampooing is a specialist cleaning service and is separate from an hourly maid visit.
Window and glass cleaning after dust storms
Dust is part of Riyadh life in certain seasons, and it shows first on windows, glass and the floors near doors. After a dusty spell, a 4-hour visit is usually enough to clean an apartment’s glass from the inside and wipe down frames and floors, while a villa with many windows may need 6 hours or two maids. Glass is cleaned from the inside or from safe balconies only; the maid does not climb exterior façades.

Laundry, ironing and putting clothes away
Laundry and ironing take up a lot of family time, especially with white thobes, abayas and school uniforms. You can dedicate a whole visit to them: sorting and washing by colour, hanging out, then ironing, hanging and organising the wardrobes. The maid uses your own washing machine and iron, and follows your instructions for anything that needs special care.

Do maids bring cleaning supplies?
The maid brings basic cleaning tools, and cleaning products as agreed when you book. If you prefer particular products for marble, wood or fabrics, let us know and she will use them. Larger equipment such as the vacuum cleaner, washing machine and iron are those already in your home.
What is not included in an hourly visit
Being clear about this avoids any misunderstanding. An hourly maid helps with housework and cleaning; she is not a cook, a nanny or a nurse. This is the norm among legally operating providers in Saudi Arabia, and it protects both the family and the worker.
How many hours does my home need?
Choosing the number of hours is the most important decision when booking. Too few hours on a large home means unfinished work; too many on a small flat means paying for time you do not need. This table gives a practical guide for Riyadh homes, and we will fine-tune it with you based on the state of the house and the tasks involved:
A simple rule of thumb: if the home is tidy and only needs regular upkeep, a 4-hour visit covers most apartments. If you need a thorough clean after a long gap, after an event or before moving in, add hours or book two maids. For villas, two maids for 4 hours is usually a better choice than one maid for 8 hours: the job finishes sooner and there is less disruption at home.
Visit times: morning and evening shifts
Hourly maids in Riyadh work in two shifts. The morning shift suits families who want the cleaning finished before the children come home from school; the evening shift suits those who work during the day or are preparing to host guests at night. Morning visits usually start between 8 and 10 am and evening visits between 4 and 6 pm, with the exact time agreed when you book.
- When the clock starts: visit hours are counted from the moment the maid arrives at your home, not from when she leaves the office.
- Transport: we drop the maid off and collect her after the visit, so you do not need to arrange anything.
- Extending a visit: an extra hour starts from SAR 50, provided the maid’s schedule allows it.
- Ramadan and Eid: shift times change during Ramadan and demand rises before Eid, so book early.
- Fridays and public holidays: availability and pricing on these days are confirmed at booking.
Traffic on Riyadh’s main roads, such as King Fahd Road, the Eastern Ring Road and the Northern Ring Road, can affect arrival times at peak hours. That is why we give you a clear arrival window when you book, and we will contact you if the maid is running late for any reason.
How to book an hourly maid in Riyadh
Booking is simple and needs no office visit or paperwork. Here are the steps:
- 1Get in touch by phone or WhatsApp on 0561940026, or use the booking form on this page.
- 2Tell us about your home: district, type of property, number of rooms and bathrooms, and the tasks you need.
- 3Choose the length and shift: number of hours, number of maids, morning or evening, and the date.
- 4Receive confirmation: we confirm the price and arrival time and send anything you need to know before the visit.
- 5The maid arrives on time, the clock starts when she arrives, and she works through your priorities.
- 6After the visit: share your feedback, and ask for the same maid next time if you were happy with her work.
Details to have ready before you contact us
The more precise your details, the more precise our suggestion. Have your district and the nearest landmark or street ready, plus the type of property (apartment, floor unit, duplex or villa), the floor and whether there is a lift, the number of rooms and bathrooms, your tasks in order of priority, and your preferred time. If you have pets or rooms that are off limits, mention that from the start.
Rescheduling, cancelling or asking for a different maid
If your plans change, let us know as early as possible, ideally at least a day before the visit, so we can rearrange the schedule and offer you another slot. If the maid is not the right fit for any reason, tell us and we will send a different maid on your next visit, subject to availability. On monthly packages you can ask for the same maid every time when she is available.
Nationalities of our hourly maids
We provide maids of African and Asian nationalities depending on availability at the time of booking, such as Kenyan and Ugandan. You are welcome to mention a preferred nationality when you book, and we will confirm whether one is available for your chosen slot. In our view what matters more than nationality is that the maid is legally resident, trained, punctual, modestly dressed and respectful of your family’s privacy, and these standards apply to every maid we send.
Is hourly maid service legal in Saudi Arabia? Why it matters
A worker offering hourly help outside a company may look cheaper, but she may be in breach of residency and labour rules, and the penalty does not fall on the worker alone; it also falls on the household that employed her. That is why we always advise booking hourly help through a provider that uses legally resident workers with valid iqamas, and that takes responsibility for the worker, her transport and her documents.
A few facts every household should know. Saudi Arabia’s Domestic Workers Regulation prohibits employers from allowing their domestic worker to work for others or on her own account, so renting out a live-in maid by the hour to neighbours or relatives is a clear violation. The same regulation caps a domestic worker’s actual working hours at 10, with no more than 5 consecutive hours without a rest, and bans assigning hazardous tasks. This is one reason hourly visits are usually built around 4 hours.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development actively pursues these violations; in one announced campaign it issued 568 decisions against violators and penalised 222 employers for letting their domestic workers work for others. Violations can be reported through the Musaned platform’s channels.
Hourly maid vs live-in maid: what is the difference?
This section is for information only, to help you decide what suits your home. Al-Kauther Home Services provides hourly maids only; we do not offer recruitment or live-in contracts. The key differences between the two arrangements are:
There are also specialist cleaning companies that send a team with heavy equipment for steam carpet cleaning, façades or water tanks. That is a different service: an hourly maid looks after the routine housework of cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing, while specialist firms handle heavy jobs with dedicated machines. Many families combine the two, with a specialist deep clean once or twice a year and an hourly maid every week.
Hourly maids for occasions, Ramadan and Eid
Occasions in Riyadh mean plenty of guests, long preparation beforehand and an even longer clean-up afterwards. An hourly maid takes much of that off your hands: she sets up the hospitality tables, arranges the dates and coffee cups, helps with serving, and then puts the majlis and kitchen back in order once the event is over.

- Before Ramadan: a thorough clean of the kitchen, cupboards and majlis ahead of iftar gatherings, usually 6 to 8 hours or two maids.
- Before Eid: a whole-home clean, the majlis rearranged, and bed linen washed and ironed.
- When hosting guests: an evening visit to set up hospitality, help serve and clean up afterwards.
- After an event: washing a large amount of crockery and cleaning the kitchen, majlis and bathrooms.
- Moving home: cleaning the property before you move in or after you move out, then organising cupboards once your belongings arrive.
Ramadan and the Eid holidays are the busiest times of year for hourly maids in Riyadh, and slots fill up quickly. Book several days ahead and be specific about the tasks so we can send the right number of maids.
Tips before the maid arrives
A little preparation means the hours go on actual work rather than searching and waiting:
- ✓Write a prioritised task list: start with what matters most, so the priorities are done even if time runs out.
- ✓Put valuables away: keep jewellery, cash and important documents locked away before any visit; it is good practice with any visitor.
- ✓Leave out special products: if you have delicate surfaces such as marble or natural wood, have the right cleaner ready.
- ✓Explain what is off limits: rooms not to enter, devices not to touch, and items that need extra care.
- ✓Prepare the laundry: for a laundry and ironing visit, gather the clothes in one place.
- ✓Stay reachable: and ideally have a woman of the household at home throughout the visit.
When the visit ends, take a quick walk around the house before the maid leaves. If anything needs adjusting, ask her there and then, or let us know so we can take it into account next time.
