Al-Kauther Home Services sends hourly maids to homes in Umm Al Hamam Al Gharbi (Umm Al Hamam West), Riyadh, for visits of 4 to 8 hours in a morning or evening shift, with a 4-hour visit by one maid from SAR 135. Call or WhatsApp 0561940026 and share your location pin so we can confirm the arrival time.
Umm Al Hamam West is one of the long-established districts of west Riyadh and falls under the Al Maather sub-municipality. Many of its homes are family villas that the same households have lived in for years, alongside apartments and rental residential buildings on streets such as Umm Al Hamam Street and Prince Nawaf bin Abdulaziz Street. A home that has been lived in for a long time collects things in store rooms, drawers and under beds, and dust settles on staircases and high corners — so this guide focuses on what these homes actually need.

Umm Al Hamam West or East? Which district this page covers
Riyadh has two districts with the same name, Umm Al Hamam Al Gharbi (West) and Umm Al Hamam Ash Sharqi (East), both in the west of the city under the Al Maather sub-municipality. This page is for the western one; the eastern district has its own guide, and the service and prices are identical in both. When you book, simply write “Umm Al Hamam” and send your pin — we work out the exact address from the map.
You may also see the name spelt without the hamza (“Um Al Hamam”) on apps and street signs; it is the same place. Prices do not change between the two districts, or between a house on a main road and one on a side street. What sets the price is the number of hours, the number of maids and the type of package.
What older villas in Umm Al Hamam West need from an hourly maid
Homes built a long time ago work differently from new apartments. Ceilings are often higher, staircases wider, majlis rooms large with floor seating or heavy sofas, and kitchens usually big with plenty of cupboards. In practice the time goes on detail rather than on floor area.
That is why we suggest villa owners in the district decide before the visit what matters most, and split a large house over two visits rather than trying to do everything in four hours. The maid follows a clear order — top to bottom, inner rooms to entrances — so dust does not drift back onto a surface that has just been cleaned.
Stairs and hallways
Dusty banisters and frames
Wiping the handrail, picture frames and the wall alongside the stairs, then sweeping and mopping the steps from the top down.
Majlis
Floor seating and heavy sofas
Vacuuming rugs and floor cushions, wiping tables and ornaments, and putting cushions back in place.
Kitchen
Wide worktops and cupboards
Cleaning worktops, sink and cupboard fronts, washing dishes and tidying the shelves you point out.
Bathrooms
Years of build-up
Cleaning basins, mirrors, tiles and floors, with attention to the corners where limescale collects.

The maid cleans what she can reach safely, or with a small household step-ladder already in the home. She does not climb exterior walls or go onto open roofs: that is hazardous work outside the scope of a home visit, and the Domestic Workers Regulation itself forbids assigning it.
Hourly maid prices in Umm Al Hamam West
An hourly maid in Umm Al Hamam West starts from SAR 135 for a 4-hour visit by one maid, and from SAR 290 for two maids over the same time. These are starting prices; the final figure depends on hours, number of maids, the size of the home and the shift you choose.

Evening, Friday and holiday visits may be priced differently, and the price is confirmed before your slot is fixed. If you need something not listed — a big tidy-up before a family gathering, say — ask for a price on WhatsApp 0561940026 with a short description.
How many hours does your Umm Al Hamam West home need?
There is no single answer for every house, but the table below gives a starting point for the kinds of homes found in the district. If the last thorough clean was a long time ago, add an hour or two to the first visit and then go back to the usual length.
Booking two maids for 4 hours suits families who do not want the visit to run into the evening. Each maid takes a floor, the house is done in roughly half the time, and the rest of the day is yours.
Sorting store rooms, storage beds and seasonal clothes
In older homes, one of the most common requests is a visit set aside for organising rather than cleaning alone. Over the years things pile up in store rooms, under beds and on the top shelves of wardrobes, and the family rarely finds time to sort them. A 5- or 6-hour visit dedicated to one or two rooms works well here.

- ✓ Sorting summer and winter clothes and folding them into bags or boxes the family chooses.
- ✓ Vacuuming the storage-bed compartment before the blankets go back in.
- ✓ Tidying the top shelves of wardrobes and labelling boxes if the family wishes.
- ✓ Gathering anything the family decides to give away in one place for them to deal with.
Note: What to keep and what to let go is always the family’s decision. The maid tidies and cleans; she never throws anything away without clear permission.
What an hourly visit does not include
We would rather you know the limits before booking. An hourly visit is an indoor cleaning and tidying service, with boundaries that anyone who has used a licensed provider will recognise:
- Cooking full meals: the maid can wash and chop vegetables and clean up after cooking, but she does not cook a complete meal.
- Looking after children or elderly relatives on her own: children remain in the family’s care for the whole visit.
- Hazardous work such as exterior walls, open roofs or moving heavy furniture.
- Large gardens and outdoor yards, or water-tank cleaning.
It is best if a woman of the household is at home during the visit, to set priorities at the start and check the work at the end.
Morning or evening visit?
We offer two shifts in Umm Al Hamam West: a morning shift that usually starts early in the day, and an evening shift after the afternoon prayer. Mornings suit homes where someone is in before noon; evenings suit working families who get back after office hours. Visit time is counted from when the maid steps into your home, not from when she leaves her accommodation.
During Ramadan the timings shift to fit the fasting day and are agreed at booking. Friday and public-holiday availability is also confirmed before your slot is fixed.
How to book an hourly maid in Umm Al Hamam West
- 1WhatsApp 0561940026 with the district name and your location pin.
- 2Tell us the home type — flat, villa floor or whole villa — and the number of rooms and bathrooms.
- 3Choose the tasks, the length, the shift, and whether you want one maid or two.
- 4We confirm the price and time, and the maid arrives as agreed.
- 5A woman of the household checks the work at the end; you can ask for the same maid next time, subject to availability.
Monthly visit packages for homes in the district
If your home needs regular cleaning, a package costs less than booking visit by visit. Four visits × 4 hours start from SAR 460 for one visit a week; 8 visits start from SAR 875 for two a week; 12 visits start from SAR 1,320 for three a week. Every visit in a package is an hourly visit on fixed days and times that you choose.
Tip: For a large villa, try the two-visits-a-week package: one visit for the ground floor and majlis, one for bedrooms and bathrooms. The house stays in order all week without one long, tiring visit.
Legally employed maids and available nationalities
All our maids are legally employed with valid residency, trained in home cleaning and dressed in a modest uniform. Hiring an irregular worker puts the household at risk: according to the General Directorate of Passports, employing or sheltering a residency or labour violator can carry a fine of up to SAR 100,000 and up to 6 months in prison. Always book through a company that is responsible for the worker’s residency and transport.
Maids of African and Asian nationalities are available depending on what is free at the time of booking, for example Kenyan and Ugandan. You can ask for a preferred nationality and we will confirm availability before fixing the visit.
Practical notes before the maid arrives in Umm Al Hamam West
- Send a map pin, not just the street name — especially if your entrance is on a side street rather than Umm Al Hamam Street or Prince Nawaf bin Abdulaziz Street.
- If you live in a building without a lift, tell us the floor so we allow time for the maid to carry her equipment up.
- Mention the gate colour or another clear sign; older villa gates look alike on many streets.
- Let us know if stopping outside the house is difficult, so the driver knows where to drop the maid off.
- She arrives with basic cleaning tools, while cleaning products are agreed when you book.
- Put jewellery and important papers somewhere closed before the visit, as you would with any visitor.
