In Al Wusaita, central Riyadh, Al-Kauther Home Services sends hourly maids to clean and tidy family homes — especially ahead of Eid and Ramadan — with visits of 4 to 8 hours, morning or evening. Prices begin at SAR 135 for four hours. To reserve a slot, ring or WhatsApp us on 0561940026.
Al Wusaita is one of the districts of the city’s historic core, and its homes are mostly older houses plus some flats for rent. An older house with a big family needs more work before Eid than one person can manage: metal doors and brass handles to polish, the majlis to beat out, children’s rooms to put back in order. This page explains how an hourly maid can take that on, and what it costs.

Getting your home ready for Eid with an hourly maid
Eid in an older house means a stream of relatives and neighbours from the very first morning, and the home has to look its best from the front door to the last room. What Al Wusaita families ask for most at this time: polishing the metal door and its brass handles inside and on the lane side as far as can be reached by hand, cleaning the threshold, beating out the majlis cushions and washing table covers, and clearing wardrobe space for the new Eid clothes.
The approach that works best is to split the work into two visits. The first, a week before Eid, takes the heavier jobs — kitchen, wardrobes, windows from inside. The second, a day or two before, is the finishing touch on the majlis, bathrooms and floors. Nothing piles up on one day, and the maid is never rushed.

Please note: Demand for maids peaks in the last days of Ramadan and before Eid al-Adha, so book as early as you can; slots close to Eid are confirmed at booking, subject to availability.
Which Al Wusaita do we mean?
This page covers Al Wusaita district in central Riyadh, one of the small districts of old Riyadh, with older houses and some flats for rent. There is a similar name, the “Al Wusaita centre”, which is a separate administrative centre, and an “Al Wusaita” neighbourhood in Al Ajfar in the Hail region — neither is related to this service. Our hourly maid service runs in Riyadh and Jeddah only.
As it is part of the old core, streets are narrow and some houses open onto side lanes. Send us your location pin from your phone and mention the door colour or any marker beside it — that is far more precise than a written address.
Hourly maid prices in Al Wusaita
Al-Kauther charges the same in Al Wusaita as anywhere in Riyadh: a 4-hour visit from SAR 135, with the total depending on hours, number of maids and package. We do not print evening or holiday charges; they are confirmed at booking according to the slot:
The prices above are starting prices set by Al-Kauther Home Services for hourly maids in Riyadh; the final amount depends on hours, number of maids and timing.
Play corners and children’s rooms in older houses
In many older houses a small room becomes the children’s play corner and slowly fills with dolls, books and building blocks. Before Eid in particular, mothers want it clean again because visiting children will play there. The maid dusts and wipes the shelves, washes fabric covers and cushions, puts the dolls back in their baskets or hanging nets, and cleans the floor and small rug.
The children remain in their family’s care throughout; an hourly maid does not look after them on her own. You decide which broken toys are kept and which go — that is the family’s call, not the maid’s.

How many hours? Eid season versus ordinary weeks
The gap between the two columns is the seasonal work: doors and handles, majlis covers, wardrobes and windows from inside. If those were done on an earlier visit, the ordinary length is enough before Eid.
After Eid: regular visits on a monthly package
Eid passes, but an older house still needs steady care: dust gets in through old wooden doors and windows far more easily than into a modern, well-sealed flat. That is why some Al Wusaita families keep the maid on a fixed schedule — 4 visits a month of 4 hours from SAR 460, 8 visits from SAR 875 for bigger households, or 12 visits from SAR 1,320 for three visits a week.
The benefit is that the next season does not start from zero: the kitchen and wardrobes stay in good shape, and one extra visit is usually enough before the next Ramadan or Eid. You can ask for the same maid on your package visits if you like how she works, and we arrange it subject to her availability.
Visit limits: what to ask for and what not to
Ask for
Inside the home
Floors and vacuuming rugs, rooms and wardrobes, bathrooms, kitchen and dishes, windows and glass from inside.
Ask for
Hospitality
Setting up the majlis and serving ware before visitors, serving them, and tidying after they leave.
Do not ask for
Outside the home
Hosing facades or large yards, gardens, or climbing tall ladders.
Do not ask for
Cooking and care
Cooking full Eid meals, or sole care of children or elderly relatives.
The maid brings basic cleaning tools, and cleaning products are as agreed at booking; brass needs its own polish, so set yours out if you have it.
Before the maid arrives: five time-savers
- ✓Write a list of jobs by priority, starting with what cannot wait — the majlis and bathrooms.
- ✓Put valuables and important papers away before the visit.
- ✓Set out any special products, especially for brass and wood.
- ✓Make sure a woman of the household is at home to guide the maid.
- ✓Open the door as soon as she arrives — the clock starts on arrival.

- 4The maid arrives by company car and leaves the same way when the booked time ends.
Shifts, nationalities and legal employment
Morning visits suit the big preparation because the house is quiet; evening visits suit a final touch before receiving visitors after Asr or Maghrib. Shift times usually change in Ramadan, so we agree the right time when you book.
Maids are legally employed workers with valid residency permits, trained and modestly dressed, from African and Asian nationalities as available at booking — Kenyan and Ugandan, for example. The Ministry of Human Resources takes this seriously: it recently issued 568 decisions against violators and penalised 222 employers for letting their domestic workers work for others — reason enough to book through a clear provider rather than a worker whose status you do not know.
