Households in Al Iskan, Riyadh, can book hourly maids from Al-Kauther Home Services for morning or evening visits lasting anywhere between 4 and 8 hours, and four hours with one maid is priced from SAR 135. This page is written for households in Al Iskan specifically rather than for Riyadh as a whole. The district sits in the south of the city, within the As Sulay sub-municipality, and its homes range from apartments to family houses. Families here tend to ask us for two things above all: a well-organised visit that puts the whole home in order, starting at the front door, and help getting ready for Eid and family gatherings. Below you will find prices, how many hours your type of home needs, what a maid will and will not do, and how to book without any back-and-forth.
In short
- Four hours, one maid: priced from SAR 135, and the length most local households pick
- 6-hour visit: from SAR 200, a good fit for a two-storey family house before an occasion
- Two maids side by side: from SAR 290 for four hours — handy when Eid is days away
- A weekly rhythm: the 4-visit monthly package, four hours each time, from SAR 460
- Shift: morning or evening, timed only once the maid steps inside
- To book: 0561940026 by phone or WhatsApp, plus your map pin
Which Al Iskan? The Riyadh district explained
Several Saudi cities have a district called Al Iskan, so to be clear: this page covers Al Iskan in Riyadh, which property portals list among the districts of south Riyadh and which falls under the As Sulay sub-municipality on the south-eastern side of the city. Al-Kauther maids work in two cities only, Riyadh and Jeddah, which puts any namesake district elsewhere beyond our reach.
Al Abbas Al Ghanawi Street is one of the streets that appears in local listings, with apartments offered for rent. We would rather not describe borders or landmarks we cannot confirm. What actually matters for your booking is the kind of home you live in and how many rooms it has, and we plan the visit around that.
Hourly maid prices in Al Iskan
These are starting prices that apply across every Riyadh district, Al Iskan included. What you finally pay is shaped by four things: hours booked, number of maids, the size of the home, and morning versus evening.
Figures from the standard Riyadh rate card of Al-Kauther Home Services; each is a starting price that the details of your booking may raise.
Divide the standard visit by its four hours and you pay just under SAR 34 an hour, which is why most families settle on the 4-hour visit. Whether an evening, Friday or holiday slot is free — and whether it costs more — is settled when you book. For a large gathering, describe it on WhatsApp and ask us to price it.
Starting at the front door: what a 4-hour visit covers
Guests form an impression within a few steps of the door, and that is exactly where clutter piles up: a heap of family shoes, abayas thrown over hooks on the way out, shopping bags nobody has unpacked. So we suggest Al Iskan families have the maid begin in the entrance hall — rehanging abayas and scarves on the hooks, putting shoes away, wiping the floor, bench and mirror — before moving through the rest of the house in a clear order.

After the entrance, the hours are usually shared out like this, always adjusted to what the lady of the house asks for:
- ✓Majlis and living room: vacuuming rugs, wiping tables and surfaces, straightening cushions and floor seating.
- ✓Kitchen: washing up, cleaning worktops, cupboard fronts and the outside of the cooker, mopping the floor.
- ✓Bathrooms: basins, mirrors, floors and the tiles around them.
- ✓Laundry: running the machine, hanging clothes, ironing what is needed and folding it away.
- ✓Bedrooms: making beds, tidying wardrobe exteriors, dusting furniture and cleaning inside windows.
In an average flat all of that usually fits into four hours. If your home has two floors, a courtyard and a separate men’s majlis, it is better either to set priorities for each visit or to choose a longer visit, as the next section explains.
How many hours does your Al Iskan home need?
Treat these as starting points rather than fixed rules. A home cleaned every week needs less time than one that has not had a proper clean in a month, which is why we ask when you last had a thorough clean and how many people live with you. If time runs out with work still left, you can add an hour from SAR 50, provided it is agreed in advance and the maid’s schedule allows.
Does your Al Iskan home need a reset this week?
Message us the layout — rooms, floors, bathrooms — and we will recommend how long the visit should be. Four hours starts from SAR 135.
Book nowWhatsApp 0561940026Getting ready for Eid and family gatherings in Al Iskan
Demand in Al Iskan peaks before Ramadan and both Eids, when families prepare to host relatives. These visits are about more than cleaning: the maid helps bring out and wash the serving sets, polish tables, set up the majlis and arrange whatever decorations the family has chosen on the staircase and entrances — then comes back after the occasion to put the house back in order.

Our advice is to book the preparation visit a day or two before the occasion rather than on the day itself, since Ramadan’s closing days and the run-up to Eid are booked solid early. You can also book a second visit after the gathering to wash dishes and serving sets and clean the majlis and guest bathroom.
Tip: Before the maid arrives, write a short list of priorities on paper or in a message — “majlis first, then the guest bathroom, then the kitchen”. It saves her time and yours.
What an hourly visit does not include
Clear limits now save confusion on the day. Preparing a whole meal is not part of an hourly visit, although the maid can wash and chop vegetables or clean down after you have cooked. Nor is she a nanny: no child or elderly relative is left alone with her, and little ones remain with their parents for the whole visit. Outside façades, tall ladders and shifting heavy furniture are off the list too, because they are risky jobs a domestic worker should never be given.
Note: Ideally a female relative stays home during the visit, to steer the maid towards priorities and sign off the result before she goes.
Reaching Al Iskan and getting your address right
Al Iskan is on the south-eastern edge of the city, so arrival time can be affected by distance and rush-hour traffic. We drop the maid off and collect her, and the visit is timed from the moment she enters your home, not from when she sets off — so none of your hours are lost on the road.
- Location pin: send it on WhatsApp — some streets are hard to describe in words.
- A clear landmark: the colour of your gate or a nearby mosque saves minutes of searching.
- Floor number: if you live in a building, mention the floor and whether there is a lift.
- Shift: morning arrival is usually between 8 and 10, evening between 4 and 6, confirmed at booking.

Monthly packages: a fixed visit every week
Many families in south Riyadh prefer a fixed weekly slot to booking from scratch each time. The four-visit monthly package starts from SAR 460 — one 4-hour visit a week. For more help, the 8-visit package starts from SAR 875 and the 12-visit package from SAR 1,320. A package is still an hourly service: each visit has a start and finish time, and the maid never stays overnight.
Why we only work with legally employed maids
Hiring someone outside a licensed provider leaves the household itself exposed. Saudi domestic-worker regulations do not allow a sponsor to send their maid to work in other homes, and that alone can cost up to SAR 20,000 in fines. Separately, anyone who employs, transports or houses residency and labour violators risks a fine as high as SAR 100,000 and a prison term of up to six months. Al-Kauther maids therefore all hold valid iqamas, are trained and dressed modestly, and are driven to and from each visit by the company.
Maid nationalities
We work with maids from Africa and Asia; Kenyan and Ugandan maids are common, and who is free is confirmed at the time of booking. If you have a preference, say so in your message and we will tell you what is available for your slot.
