Al-Kauther Home Services provides hourly maids for family homes in Al Marqab, central Riyadh. A 4-hour visit with one maid starts from SAR 135, with shorter or longer visits to match the size of the home, in the morning or evening. Call or WhatsApp 0561940026 and send your map pin, as many streets here have numbers rather than names.
Al Marqab is a central Riyadh district under the Al Batha sub-municipality. Al Batha Street runs through it, and its streets include Ismail Al Jawhari, Abi Ayyub Al Ansari, Uqbat Al Izzah and Jabal Abhar. Most of what is offered for rent here is rooms, small flats, studios and residential buildings, much of it let to workers and single men. Between those buildings, though, older family houses and family flats remain, and those are the homes our hourly maids serve. This page is about Al Marqab in Riyadh specifically, not Marqab Rughbah or Al Marqab in Al Badai.

How much is an hourly maid in Al Marqab?
Prices in Al Marqab are the same as anywhere else in Riyadh. A 4-hour visit with one maid starts from SAR 135, the length most customers book. Six hours start from SAR 200, eight from SAR 230, and every extra hour added to a visit from SAR 50. Here is the full list:
Prices from the Al-Kauther Home Services hourly-maid list for Riyadh; all are starting prices.
What moves the price? Four things: the hours, the number of maids, how often you book and when. A monthly package costs less than booking each visit on its own, with 4 visits × 4 hours from SAR 460. Evening, Friday and holiday rates are confirmed at booking, before you commit to anything.
Older family houses in Al Marqab: what each visit needs
An older family house in Al Marqab is a different job from a new flat in north Riyadh. It has more rooms and longer inner hallways, often a men’s majlis and a women’s majlis, older floor tiles that need regular mopping to shine, and decorative glass at entrances and along corridors. A house like this cannot be cleaned in two hours; the maid needs enough time to get round every room.
For a single-storey older house we suggest 4 to 5 hours, and for a two-storey house 6 hours or more. If there is an annexe or rooms on the roof, mention them at booking so we can plan the time properly.

Many older Al Marqab houses have a coloured-glass fanlight above the majlis door or along the hallway, set in a sunburst iron frame. The maid cleans this glass from the inside only, with a soft cloth and a mild glass cleaner, using a short, stable household step if there is one. She does not climb to risky heights or clean glass from the outside; hazardous work is not part of a domestic worker’s duties.
Getting the women’s majlis ready for family visits
Before relatives or neighbours visit, the request we hear most in Al Marqab is to prepare the women’s majlis: wiping tables and mirrors, shining silver and glass surfaces, plumping cushions and back rests, vacuuming the rugs, then setting up the coffee and hospitality corner.

Mirrored tables show every fingerprint, so the maid wipes them with a microfibre cloth and a mild glass cleaner, then dries them with a second cloth to leave no streaks. Shiny silver cushions are shaken out, not washed, during a visit. If guests are due within a few hours, two maids working 4 hours can finish the majlis, kitchen and bathrooms together, from SAR 290.
A number, not a name: how the maid finds your home in Al Marqab
One of the first things anyone notices when looking for an address in Al Marqab is that some streets carry long numbers instead of names, such as “Street 26204436”, and that many buildings look alike. So we do not rely on a written address alone. We ask for three things:
- 1Your location pin from a maps app, or your short National Address code if you have it.
- 2A clear nearby landmark: a mosque, a well-known shop, or the junction with Al Batha Street.
- 3A description of the door or entrance, and the floor number if you live in a flat.
Al Batha Street and the roads around it are busy most of the time and parking is scarce. The driver therefore calls you a few minutes before arriving and drops the maid at the nearest point to your door. Visit time starts when the maid walks into your home.

What does an hourly maid do?
On an hourly visit you set the priorities and the maid starts with what matters most. Typical jobs include:
- Cleaning bedrooms, living rooms and majlis rooms; sweeping and mopping floors.
- Cleaning the kitchen, worktops and the outside of appliances; washing dishes.
- Cleaning bathrooms, mirrors and basins.
- Washing, hanging, ironing and putting away clothes.
- Cleaning glass and windows on the inside, mirrors and glass tables.
- Tidying wardrobes, drawers and children’s rooms.
- Setting up hospitality, helping serve, and cleaning up after a gathering.
What a visit does not include
The maid does not cook full meals, though she can clean the kitchen and help prepare ingredients. She does not look after children or elderly relatives on her own; they stay in the family’s care. She does not clean exterior facades or open roofs, move heavy furniture or climb to dangerous heights. It is preferable for a woman of the household to be at home throughout the visit.
Morning or evening?
A morning visit suits large houses that need 6 hours or more, so the maid finishes before mid-afternoon. An evening visit suits families who are out at work during the day, and flats that need about 4 hours. You pick an arrival time at booking and we confirm it before the appointment.
Repeat-visit packages for Al Marqab families
An older house cleaned once a month soon gathers dust again, especially near busy roads. A weekly 4-hour visit keeps it in order, and the monthly package for that starts from SAR 460. Larger families can take 8 visits from SAR 875 (twice a week) or 12 visits from SAR 1,320 (three times a week). On a package you can ask for the same maid you liked, and we send her whenever her schedule allows.

The maid brings the basic cleaning tools; cleaning products are as agreed at booking. Nationalities are African and Asian depending on availability at the time of booking, for example Kenyan and Ugandan, and you may ask for a preferred nationality, which we confirm when you book.
