One maid or two for your Al Falah home?
The question we hear most in Al Falah is whether to book one maid for eight hours or two maids for four. The answer depends more on the layout than on the size. A flat or single floor is usually fine with one maid, as the work flows on one level. A two-storey villa, or a home with an annexe and a separate majlis, is better split between two maids so that each finishes her part without constantly moving between floors.
There is another difference that matters to working families: two maids for 4 hours means the house is yours again by mid-afternoon if the visit starts in the morning, whereas one maid for 8 hours stays until the end of the day. Al Falah: location, roads and landmarks
Al Falah is a north Riyadh district under the Northern municipality, by exit 7, covering about 4 km². Airport Road and Qurtubah lie to the east, the Northern Ring Road and Al Izdihar to the south, Othman bin Affan Road and Al Wadi to the west, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road and Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University to the north.
The district has Al Falah and North Al Falah parks, Dar Al Uloom University Hospital and Dar Al Uloom schools and university, the Madareem Crown hotel and the Judicial Training Centre, and it is close to King Khalid International Airport. It is generally quiet, with a mix of villas, floors and flats.
Caring for the prayer corner and prayer rugs
Many Al Falah homes have a dedicated prayer corner or a small room laid with thick rugs. It needs calm, regular care: vacuuming the rug in the direction of the pile, dusting the shelves that hold copies of the Qur’an and books without mixing up their order, and airing the room with a light fragrance.
Large rugs in the majlis and living rooms are also vacuumed during the visit. Machine deep-washing of carpets, however, is a separate specialist service and is not part of an hourly visit.
Bathrooms and towels: the order guests notice
The bathroom is where guests judge how clean a home is. The maid starts with the basin, toilet and shower, removes water marks from glass and taps, and mops the floor dry. Then she sorts the towel cupboard, folding or rolling towels and arranging them by colour and size, and leaves a fresh towel in each bathroom.
Tip: If your home has more than 3 bathrooms, mention it when booking. Bathrooms take up the most time on a visit and may need an extra hour, from SAR 50.

Please note: An hourly visit does not include cooking full meals, looking after children or elderly relatives on her own, or hazardous work such as façades or work at height. The maid helps with kitchen cleaning and prep, children stay with the family, and it is preferable for a woman of the household to be present.

Recurring visit plans
A home that is cleaned regularly does not need long visits. That is why many Al Falah families choose the twice-weekly plan (8 visits × 4 hours) from SAR 875: one visit for bathrooms and the kitchen, another for rooms and laundry. If one visit a week is enough, the 4-visit plan starts from SAR 460, and the 12-visit plan from SAR 1,320 suits those who need more.
On a plan you can ask for the same maid each time, and she is sent when available. A visit can be postponed if you let us know early.
Legal staff and available nationalities

Remember that employing a worker who breaks residency and labour rules can lead to a fine of up to SAR 100,000 and up to 6 months in prison, and an employer who lets a domestic worker work for others can be fined up to SAR 20,000. Booking through a legal company avoids all of this.
