Dahiyat Namar: a newer residential area within Namar, west Riyadh
Property platforms list Dahiyat Namar among the districts of west Riyadh, and its name ties it to the wider Namar area, known for its wadi. Around Namar there are landmarks most Riyadh residents know: the Namar Dam lake, the Wadi Namar walkway, Mutallat Namar park, Al Shuaib Park, Dallah Namar Hospital, and Salam Mall a short drive away.
What stands out in local property listings is that most of the area is residential plots, villa floors for sale or rent, and flats — the pattern of a newer plan where homes are completed bit by bit. So bookings here tend to be one of two kinds: a family taking over a new floor or flat and wanting the building dust gone before moving in, or a family already settled in and wanting a regular visit to keep the home in shape.
Finding your home: streets named after wadis
Anyone driving around the area soon notices that many streets carry wadi names, such as Wadi Bishah Street and Wadi Al Haddar Street, alongside Ajyad Street. Similar names, plus new houses that sometimes have no number plate yet, can confuse a driver. That is why we ask for three things when you book:
- 1An exact location pin, not just the district name.
- 2The gate colour or front of the house, or the nearest empty plot or mosque.
- 3A mobile number that will answer when the driver arrives, especially on the first visit.
After the first visit your location is saved, so later visits are quicker and need no new directions.
Cleaning a new floor after the finishing works
When the contractor hands over a new floor, fine dust is left on everything: floors, window ledges, doors, kitchen worktops and the inside of cupboards. It lifts back into the air whenever someone walks past, so a quick wipe will not do. The maid works through the home from top to bottom: doors and frames first, then cupboards inside, then windows and their tracks, then the kitchen and bathrooms, finishing with the floors.
Once the family moves in, the maths changes: a lived-in three-bedroom flat needs 4 hours on a regular visit, a full villa floor 5 hours, and a two-storey villa with a majlis 6 to 8 hours or two maids. In other words, the first visit after the finishing works is usually the longest, and visits get shorter once cleaning is regular.
How much is an hourly maid in Dahiyat Namar?
A 4-hour visit with one maid starts from SAR 135, and Dahiyat Namar is priced the same as the rest of Riyadh, with no transport fee:

Getting the guest majlis ready: Najdi doors and heavy curtains
Many newer villas in the area borrow from Najdi style, with a double wooden majlis door painted in colourful geometric patterns and heavy curtains in the reception room. These pieces need a calm hand: dust comes off the painted patterns with a soft brush and a dry or barely damp cloth, without strong cleaners that could fade the colours, and the iron ring handle is buffed with a dry cloth.

Heavy damask and velvet curtains are vacuumed in place, then drawn back and tied so the light comes in and the windows are exposed, letting the maid clean the glass and ledges from inside. Before a gathering the preparation finishes with arranging the majlis, wiping tables and setting out the serving ware, and on a long enough visit the maid stays to serve your guests.

What is and is not included in an hourly visit
A visit covers cleaning and tidying bedrooms, living rooms and majlis areas; the kitchen, washing up and bathrooms; washing and ironing clothes; interior glass; serving at gatherings and cleaning up afterwards; and move-in or move-out cleaning. Basic cleaning tools come with the maid; cleaning products are agreed when you book.
It does not cover cooking full meals, looking after children or elderly relatives alone, working on roofs or high façades, carrying heavy furniture or clearing building debris. It is preferable for a woman of the household to be present during the visit.
Looking after new finishes: marble, wood and shiny fittings
A new home in the area usually has finishes that have barely been used: glossy marble or porcelain floors, freshly painted wooden doors, and taps and basins with a bright coating. These surfaces react to acidic products and rough scourers more than most people expect, so the maid works with microfibre cloths, water and a mild cleaner, and avoids dry-rubbing dust, which can scratch the shine.
- ✓Marble and porcelain: a damp mop and mild cleaner, nothing acidic
- ✓Freshly painted wood: a dry or barely damp wipe, no direct spraying
- ✓Taps and basins: a soft cloth, then drying to stop water spots
- ✓New glass: factory stickers eased off gently, no sharp metal tools

A monthly plan once you have moved in
Once the family has settled into the new home, a monthly plan works out cheaper than one-off bookings. One 4-hour visit a week starts from SAR 460 a month, two a week from SAR 875 and three a week from SAR 1,320. With repeat visits the maid learns how your home is organised and gets more done in the same time, and you can ask for the same maid whenever she is available.
Shifts and arrival times
We offer a morning and an evening shift. Mornings suit a post-finishing clean, as daylight shows dust on surfaces and glass; evenings suit gatherings and families who get home from work in the afternoon. Hours are counted from when the maid enters your home, not from when she leaves our base.
Who our maids are: legal status and nationalities
All Al-Kauther maids are legally employed with valid iqamas, trained in cleaning work and dressed in a modest uniform, and we take care of their transport both ways. Nationalities on offer are African and Asian, subject to availability when you book — Kenyan and Ugandan, for example — and you can request a particular nationality for us to confirm.
Using a worker outside the rules is a real risk: employing someone in breach of residency and labour regulations can bring a fine of up to SAR 100,000 and up to six months in prison.
