Al-Kauther Home Services hourly maids clean new flats and villas in Al Hazm, south-west Riyadh, from pre-move-in cleaning to getting the majlis ready. A 4-hour visit starts from SAR 135 and a 6-hour visit from SAR 200. Call or WhatsApp 0561940026 to set a time.
Al Hazm is changing fast: new apartment buildings are going up on streets that were empty plots not long ago, villas are welcoming their owners for the first time, and families are moving in from older districts. All that movement means the first request we usually get from Al Hazm is: “We want the flat cleaned before we bring our things in.”

New apartment blocks and villas in Al Hazm: what changes in cleaning?
Al Hazm lies in south-west Riyadh within Namar Municipality. Dirab Road and the Southern Ring Road run along it, and it reaches towards Wadi Al Hazm and the dam park in the valley. Its neighbours include Ash Shifa and Al Marwah, with Namar and Tuwaiq close by to the west. Housing is a mix of family villas and apartment buildings with flats of different sizes that suit small families and newly married couples, alongside new residential plots still being built.
A new home is not a clean home. When the contractor leaves, fine dust is everywhere: on shelves and glass, inside aluminium door and window tracks, above air-conditioning vents, and as specks of paint and adhesive on the tiles. Even after you move in, building work on neighbouring plots carries on, so dust returns faster than families expect. That is why Al Hazm homes need one thorough visit at the start, then shorter regular visits.
Cleaning a flat before you move in
Cleaning before the furniture arrives is far easier than cleaning after: cupboards are empty, floors are clear and nothing blocks the corners. Here is what the maid covers on a pre-move-in visit:
- ✓Dust walls, shelves, doors and handles
- ✓Clean cupboards inside and out in bedrooms and kitchen
- ✓Clean aluminium window and door tracks and the glass from inside
- ✓Remove light paint and adhesive marks from tiles and ceramics
- ✓Clean bathrooms, basins and mirrors and polish the taps
- ✓Mop floors more than once until the fine dust is gone
Living-room shelving and hidden lighting
Modern designs in Al Hazm flats lean heavily on shelving units around the TV wall and hidden lighting in ceilings and walls. They look good, but they catch dust in narrow gaps that show up clearly once the lights are on. The maid works shelf by shelf: lifting vases and small pieces, wiping the surface, then putting each piece back where it was.

Men’s majlis in Al Hazm villas
In a villa the men’s majlis is still the face of the home, often separate with its own entrance, a large rug and sofas along the walls. Getting it ready for guests means vacuuming the rug in neat lines, wiping sofas and tables, polishing mirrors and frames, cleaning the majlis bathroom and setting out the coffee pots and cups.

Because the majlis may be separate from the rest of the house, we need to know in advance who from the family will be at home. Having a woman of the household present during the visit is always best, and majlis cleaning can be scheduled for a time when no guests are there.

Flat or villa: the right visit length in Al Hazm
Booking steps and what to send us
- 1WhatsApp 0561940026: Al Hazm, flat or villa, and whether the home is new and empty or already lived in.
- 2Send the number of rooms and bathrooms and, if you can, a photo or two showing the amount of work.
- 3Choose the length, number of maids and shift, and we confirm the price and time.
- 4Pin the location and send the building or villa number; we bring the maid and collect her.
Timing and getting there via Dirab Road and the Southern Ring Road
There is a morning shift and an evening shift, and the arrival time is set at booking. Al Hazm connects with the rest of Riyadh through Dirab Road and the Southern Ring Road, both busy when commuters head out and come home, so we plan the maid’s schedule around that. In new plots whose streets have no names yet, a pinned map location is the only reliable way for the driver to reach the right door without delay.
If your building has a guard or a card-access entrance, tell us in advance, and if the flat is still empty, make sure someone is there to open the door and stay during the visit.
After moving in: how to keep the dust down in a new home
As long as building work continues around you, dust will come back however good the cleaning, but you can slow it down. Keep windows facing building sites closed during working hours, put a mat at the front door, and clean the outside of the air-conditioning filters regularly. When you book a regular visit, ask the maid to start with high surfaces and work down to the floors, so dust does not fall on what has already been cleaned.
Because fine dust settles in tracks and corners more than on open surfaces, we suggest setting aside a visit roughly once a month for window and door tracks and high shelves, while the weekly visits handle the routine clean.
The limits of an hourly visit
- No cooking of full meals; the maid helps with prep and kitchen cleaning.
- No sole care of children or elderly relatives.
- No moving heavy furniture or assembling and dismantling wardrobes.
- No cleaning of exterior façades or climbing to dangerous heights.
- No gardening.
Legal labour and maid nationalities
Al-Kauther maids are legally employed with valid residency, trained in household work and dressed in a modest uniform. They are of African and Asian nationalities depending on availability at the time of booking, such as Kenyan and Ugandan, and you can ask for a preferred nationality. The maid brings the basic cleaning tools, and cleaning products are as agreed at booking.
Newer edge-of-city districts often see informal offers of domestic help, so it is worth remembering that employing or sheltering a worker who breaks the rules can bring up to 6 months in prison and a fine of up to SAR 100,000. Booking through a legal company keeps your family clear of all that.
