Al-Kauther Home Services sends hourly maids to South Riyadh districts such as Al Aziziyah, Ash Shifa, Badr, Ad Dar Al Baida, Al Manfuhah, Okaz and As Sulay, for visits from 2 to 8 hours. A 4-hour visit starts from SAR 135 and two maids start from SAR 290. Book by call or WhatsApp on 0561940026.
South Riyadh is family territory first and foremost: roomy houses with courtyards and guest majlis, apartment blocks home to large families, and a steady stream of relatives during holidays and seasons. That makes the need here closer to “regular help in a busy home” than a one-off clean. On this page you will find prices first, then what the maid actually does, the districts we reach, and how to choose the right visit length for your home.

How much is an hourly maid in South Riyadh?
An hourly maid in South Riyadh starts from SAR 135 for a 4-hour visit with one maid — the same rate we charge in the north, east and west of the city, so your district never pushes the price up. We have set these prices around 7–9% below the published rates of well-known domestic-labour companies in Riyadh, so that a legal service stays affordable for large families who need it more than once a month.

What moves the price up or down? First the number of hours and maids, then the size of the home and the amount of work, and finally the shift: evening, Friday and holiday visits are confirmed at booking, and we tell you about any difference before your slot is fixed. To prepare for a big family gathering or dinner, tell us the number of guests and the space involved and ask for a price on WhatsApp.
What does the maid clean in South Riyadh homes?
A family home in the south is used hard: a kitchen that runs all day, a majlis that receives guests and plenty of bedrooms for everyone. So requests here focus on particular jobs, and the maid works through them in the order the lady of the house sets:
A visit also covers bathrooms and basins, inside glass and windows, and move-in or move-out cleaning. In houses with a courtyard, the yard and entrance can be given a light wash if this is agreed at booking, since the inside usually comes first.

Clear service limits
An hourly maid comes to clean, tidy and help — she is neither a cook nor a nanny. The visit does not include cooking full meals; the maid can help with kitchen cleaning and simple prep such as washing and chopping vegetables. She does not take sole charge of children or elderly relatives, who stay with the family. Moving heavy furniture, cleaning roofs and high storage, or working at unsafe heights are also outside the visit.
South Riyadh districts our maids reach
We plan southern visits along three corridors, based on the main roads used to reach them, which helps us estimate arrival times more accurately. The list below shows the most requested districts; if yours is missing, send us the name or a map pin and we will confirm.
Central corridor: Al Manfuhah, Al Faisaliyah, Al Khalidiyah and Al Masani
Older districts close to the city centre, between the southern end of King Fahd Road and the Southern Ring Road. Internal streets are fairly narrow, and homes are mostly traditional terraced houses or older blocks without lifts. Here we ask for a clear description of the entrance or the building number and floor, because finding the right door can take longer than the drive itself.
Al Kharj Road and Southern Ring Road: Al Aziziyah, Ad Dar Al Baida, As Sulay
This corridor covers Al Aziziyah, Ad Dar Al Baida, Al Mansuriyah, Al Ghannamiyah, As Sulay and Khashm Al An. Al Aziziyah is one of the busiest southern districts for our service, with a mix of family villas and apartment buildings. Ad Dar Al Baida and the districts along Al Kharj Road have many large families and newer housing plans; outlying areas such as Khashm Al An can take longer to reach, so we give them early slots.
Dirab Road and the south-west: Ash Shifa, Badr, Okaz
Here we include Ash Shifa, Badr, Okaz, Taibah, Al Marwah, Uhud and Uraidh, plus Al Hair on the far southern edge. Ash Shifa and Badr are large districts of two-storey villas with courtyards, and many extended families share one house, which is why two-maid visits are booked more often here than anywhere else. The corridor links to Dirab Road and the southern end of King Fahd Road.
An operational grouping used by Al-Kauther Home Services to plan arrival times; it may not match municipal boundaries exactly.
Family houses and apartment blocks: how many hours to book?
Many southern families start with 4 hours and then find the house needs more, because a family home combines a large area with heavy use. Our rule of thumb: the more bathrooms, kitchens and family members, the more hours or maids you need. This table sums up what we usually suggest:
In older blocks without a lift, we suggest adding an hour to the usual estimate if small rugs need carrying or laundry is hung on the roof, because moving between floors eats into the visit. An extra hour starts from SAR 50 and can be requested during the visit if the maid’s schedule allows.
Getting your home ready for Ramadan, Eid and family gatherings
Seasons have their own rhythm in the south: Ramadan evenings bring the extended family together for iftar, and Eid fills homes with visitors from the morning onwards. Demand for hourly maids therefore rises in the two weeks before Ramadan and in the last ten nights before Eid, so we recommend booking early for those periods.

During these seasons the maid helps clean and polish the majlis, wash the dishes and serving trays that only come out for occasions, hang freshly washed curtains, and tidy the guest lounge and guest bathrooms. After the dinner or Eid gathering, a second visit puts the house back in order — far easier for the family than doing it all themselves after a long day.
- ✓Before Ramadan: kitchen, the outside of the fridge and cupboards, and iftar serving ware.
- ✓Before Eid: majlis, curtains, vacuuming rugs and guest rooms.
- ✓After the gathering: dishes, trays, floors and rubbish collection.
Hourly maid or live-in maid: what is the difference?
Some families ask why they should book by the hour instead of recruiting a maid who lives in. It depends on what the home needs. At Al-Kauther we offer the hourly service only; this comparison is for clarity:
The hourly service suits families who want regular help without housing a worker or handling her paperwork, and it also suits homes that already have a live-in maid but need an extra pair of hands in busy seasons.
Morning or evening? Arrival times in the south
We run two shifts, morning and evening, and the arrival time is set when you book. Southern traffic concentrates on the Southern Ring Road and Al Kharj Road as commuters head out in the morning and return in the afternoon, and it builds up near industrial areas and warehouses. We therefore suggest the morning shift if you want the house finished before midday, and the evening shift if you are getting ready to host guests at night.
Remember that the visit hours only start when the maid enters your home, so if traffic delays her, those minutes are not taken from your time. During Ramadan the shifts move to suit fasting hours, while Fridays and holidays are confirmed according to the schedule when you book. If something comes up and you need to move the visit, let us know early — ideally 24 hours before.
Steps to book an hourly maid in South Riyadh
- 1Contact us: call or WhatsApp 0561940026, or use the booking form at the bottom of the page.
- 2Give the address: district, house or building number and floor, and a map pin.
- 3Describe the job: home type, rooms and bathrooms, and whether there is laundry, ironing or an upcoming gathering.
- 4Choose the visit: hours, number of maids, shift and day — or pick a monthly package.
- 5Welcome the maid: we bring her to your door and collect her when the hours are done; you pay as agreed.
She arrives with the basic cleaning tools, while cleaning products are as agreed at booking. Many southern families prefer to use the products they already have at home, which is perfectly fine — just mention it in your booking message.
Monthly packages for large families
A home with six or more people gets dirty faster, and one visit a month is not enough. That is why we offer packages of fixed visits, each lasting 4 hours:
A package does not mean a live-in maid; every visit is separate, with set hours. Its main advantage is that you book your slots once, and you can ask for the same maid each time if you are happy with her — we arrange that subject to her availability.
Legal workers with valid residency: what matters for your family
Letting in a worker who knocks on the door offering hourly work may look cheaper, but the risk falls on the household. The rules on residency and labour violators punish anyone who employs, shelters or transports an irregular worker with up to 6 months in prison and a fine of up to SAR 100,000, multiplied by the number of workers. The Domestic Workers Regulation also forbids hiring out a domestic worker to others, with a fine of up to SAR 20,000 for the employer.
Maids’ nationalities
Maids from African and Asian nationalities are available depending on availability at the time of booking, such as Kenyan and Ugandan. You can request a preferred nationality and we will confirm before fixing the visit.
Practical tips for South Riyadh families
- ✓Gather the clothes to be washed or ironed in one place before the maid arrives.
- ✓Close any rooms you don’t want entered, and put gold and important papers away.
- ✓Split the work: kitchen and majlis in one visit, bedrooms and laundry in another.
- ✓In apartment blocks, show the maid where to hang laundry and where rubbish goes.
- ✓Book early before Ramadan and Eid, as slots fill up fast at those times.
What makes Al-Kauther a good fit for South Riyadh families?
The first thing a southern family cares about is trust: who is coming into the house? That is why we only send legally resident maids with valid permits, trained in home cleaning, in modest uniform, and brought and collected by the company, so the family never has to arrange transport or wait around. The second is clear pricing: one published table starting from SAR 135 for a 4-hour visit, and any difference for evenings or Fridays is told to you before confirmation.
The third is flexibility for the way family homes work: a short visit for a small flat, two maids for a two-storey villa, or a package of fixed visits for a large household — with the option of asking for the same maid each time so she gets used to how your home is run. And if a visit was not what you expected, tell us straight away so we can put it right on the next one.
