Al Bayan: one of east Riyadh’s modern districts
Al Bayan lies in east Riyadh within the Ash Sharq sub-municipality, and property guides describe it as one of the modern eastern districts. What is on offer there is flats and floor units, along with residential plots still awaiting construction. So homes are fairly new, and households tend to be young families or families who moved from older districts in search of more space.
Open plots between the buildings mean dust is part of life here, especially on windy days. Residents notice that window sills and floors near the doors need wiping more often than they were used to in their previous neighbourhoods.
Is your address “20 m street, west side”? Why we ask for a pin
Some Al Bayan listings do not give a street name at all; they describe the street by its width, such as “20 m street, west side”. Locals know what that means, but it is not enough for a driver coming for the first time, because the district has more than one street of the same width.
So when you book, we ask for a pin dropped on the building door, the building number if there is one, and the floor or flat number. The maid then comes straight to you and no minutes of your visit are lost searching, bearing in mind the time is counted from the moment she reaches your door.
The kitchen after a week of cooking: oven, racks and hood
A modern kitchen looks great at first, then grease starts building up on the oven racks, hob and extractor filter. With regular cooking the grease hardens and becomes hard to shift if it is left for months. The answer is to clean it routinely, every two or three weeks.
The maid soaks the oven racks and burner caps in warm water with a suitable cleaner and leaves them to soften while she cleans the rest of the kitchen, then scrubs, rinses and dries them before putting them back. Meanwhile she wipes the oven front and hood exterior, the wall behind the hob and the nearby cabinets that the steam reaches.

The laundry room: from basket to wardrobe
In a family home the laundry never stops: school uniforms, children’s bedding and work clothes. An hourly maid does not just switch on the machine; she completes the whole cycle: sorting by colour and fabric, washing, hanging or drying, ironing, then hanging on hangers or folding into drawers.

What makes the difference is how it ends: each person’s clothes in their place, shirts hung so the morning choice is easy, and clean bedding folded on its own shelf. Tell the maid how you like things arranged and she will follow it every visit.
A suggested weekly plan for Al Bayan homes
Rather than the maid trying to do everything every time, we suggest families on the weekly package spread the focus across the month, with the core clean on every visit:
This way the whole home gets a thorough clean once a month without needing one long visit. Four visits × 4 hours start from SAR 460; for two visits a week, 8 visits start from SAR 875, and 12 visits from SAR 1,320 for large families. All are hourly visits, not live-in contracts.

Before Ramadan, Eid and having guests
Requests in Al Bayan rise before Ramadan and Eid, because a new home often hosts relatives and neighbours for the first time in these seasons. On a preparation visit the maid cleans the majlis and living room, machine-washes light curtains that can go in the washer, arranges the serving ware and wipes the cupboards it lives in, and cleans the guest toilets.
For this visit we suggest 6 hours from SAR 200, or two maids for 4 hours from SAR 290 if the date is close. After the gathering, a 4-hour visit is enough to wash up, put the majlis back in order and clean the floors. Book these slots early, as demand climbs in the seasons.
Timing: morning and evening shifts
In many of Al Bayan’s young families both parents work, so the evening shift after office hours suits them. Families where the mother is home in the morning prefer the morning shift to finish before lunch. The clock starts when the maid arrives, we confirm the approximate arrival time at booking, and in Ramadan appointments are arranged around fasting hours.

Nationalities, and why choose a legal maid?
We provide maids from African and Asian nationalities depending on availability at booking, such as Kenyan and Ugandan, and you can request a preferred nationality for us to confirm. Each one is a residency-holding, trained worker who wears a modest uniform.
A maid from outside the legal channels may look cheaper, but employing or sheltering workers in breach of residency rules can cost a household a fine of up to SAR 100,000, and the domestic-worker regulations fine an employer who lets their maid work for others up to SAR 20,000.
