Al Munsiyah: where it is and the homes we clean
Al Munsiyah is a residential district in north-east Riyadh under the Al Rawdah sub-municipality. It sits between Thumamah Road to the north and Dammam Road to the south, with Ar Rimal and Al Yarmuk as neighbours. Being close to Riyadh Front and the metro has made it popular with families who want more space for less than the northern districts charge, so the housing is genuinely mixed: detached villas of different sizes, ground- and upper-floor townhouse units, family apartments, and gated residential projects with a barrier and a guardhouse.
That mix changes how you should book. A family on the upper floor of a townhouse usually needs a shorter, regular visit to keep things in shape, while a villa with two living rooms and a majlis needs more time or a second maid. In both cases the family living room and the reception room are the heart of the home, and they are what Al Munsiyah households ask us to tackle first.
Getting the maid through a gated compound
In a gated project the guard is the first step of the visit. If the maid’s name is not on his list, ten minutes or more can disappear at the barrier while he phones the household. So when you book we ask for the compound name and your villa or unit number, and before the visit we send you the maid’s name and expected arrival time to pass to security.
- ✓Drop a pin from your own door: a location shared from the villa itself is far more useful than one from the main gate, especially where units look identical.
- ✓Name the right gate: some compounds have a residents’ gate and a separate visitors’ or service gate — tell us which one to use.
- ✓Ground or upper floor: for townhouses, say whether your door is on the street or up the outside stairs, so the maid does not knock next door.
- ✓Parking: our car drops the maid off and leaves, so no space is needed — but let us know if vehicles are not allowed inside.
How many hours does an Al Munsiyah home need?
The number of hours decides what actually gets done. The table below is based on the home types most common in the district. Treat it as a starting point; we fine-tune it with you according to rooms, bathrooms and the jobs you want covered.
If your villa is large and you want everything done before midday, two maids for 4 hours beat one maid for 8: they finish in roughly half the time, starting from SAR 290.
Hourly maid prices in Al Munsiyah
Al-Kauther charges Al Munsiyah the same as the rest of Riyadh — no extra fee because the district is on the eastern side, and bringing the maid and collecting her is on us. These are starting prices for one maid unless stated otherwise:

A typical local example: a family in a townhouse unit books a 4-hour visit every week. Booked one at a time, that comes to around SAR 540 a month; the weekly plan starts from SAR 460 and locks in the same day and shift. Any difference for evening or Friday visits is confirmed when you book, and for large gatherings just ask for a price on WhatsApp after describing the space and the number of guests.
Living room and reception: where the maid starts

In Al Munsiyah homes the family living room is in use from morning to night — the family relaxing, children snacking in front of the TV, relatives dropping by. Stains build up on the sofa, dust settles on the TV wall and shelves, and crumbs collect under the cushions. On most visits the maid starts here because it is the busiest space, then moves on to the kitchen and bathrooms.
- ✓Sofas and seating: vacuuming seats and under cushions, wiping wooden and metal edges.
- ✓TV wall and shelves: dry dusting with a soft cloth — no spraying liquid on the screen.
- ✓Floors and rugs: vacuuming rugs and mopping tiles or marble right into the corners.
- ✓Kitchen and dishes: washing up, wiping counters, hob, sink and cupboard fronts.
- ✓Bathrooms: basins, toilets, mirrors, taps and floors.
- ✓Laundry and ironing: running the machine, hanging, folding and ironing what you choose.
- ✓Bedrooms: making beds, changing linen and light wardrobe tidying.
Curtains and soft furnishings before guests arrive

The villa’s reception room is not used every day, but it is the first thing a guest sees. Before a gathering, families usually ask for the sofas to be vacuumed, tables and glass wiped, light curtains steamed in place if there is a steamer in the house, and the serving trays set out. We suggest 5 or 6 hours if you add the kitchen and bathrooms, plus a second visit the next day to clean up after the guests.
What an hourly visit does not cover
Being clear about limits from the start makes things easier for you and for the maid. These are the same limits licensed domestic-labour companies apply across the market:
- ×Full cooking: the maid cleans the kitchen and helps with light prep, but does not cook full meals.
- ×Sole care of children or elderly relatives: children stay with the family throughout the visit.
- ×Risky jobs: exterior façades, water tanks, tall ladders and moving heavy furniture.
- ×Large courtyards and gardens as a main task, beyond what you agree within the visit time.
It is preferable for a woman of the household to be at home during the visit; it makes directing the work easier and is more comfortable for everyone. The maid brings the basic cleaning tools, with cleaning products as agreed when you book.
Morning or evening shift in Al Munsiyah?
We run two shifts: in the morning the maid usually arrives between 8 and 10 am, in the evening between 4 and 6 pm, and the exact time is confirmed at booking. Thumamah Road and Dammam Road, which frame the district, both get busy at rush hour, so we plan the drop-off to enter the district from the entrance closest to your home.
Households where both partners work tend to pick the evening shift, when the lady of the house is back and can guide the work. Families preparing for an evening event usually prefer the morning so everything is finished by mid-afternoon. During Ramadan the shifts move to fit fasting hours, agreed when you book.

- 3Choose length and shift: 4, 5, 6 or 8 hours, morning or evening, one maid or two.
- 4Compound details: compound name, unit number and a location pin, so we can send the maid’s name ahead.

- 6After the visit tell us how it went; you can ask for the same maid next time whenever she is available.
Legal, trained maids — and the nationalities available
Al-Kauther sends legally employed workers with valid residency permits, trained in household work and dressed in a modest uniform. That matters: Saudi domestic-worker rules forbid an employer from letting their own worker work for others, with a fine of up to SAR 20,000 or a recruitment ban, and employing or sheltering workers in breach of residency rules can bring fines of up to SAR 100,000 plus prison. Booking through a company keeps that liability away from your family.
As for nationality, the maids we send are African and Asian — Kenyan and Ugandan, for example — depending on who is available when you book. You are welcome to ask for a preferred nationality and we will confirm availability when you book.
