Al-Kauther Home Services provides hourly maids in An Nadwah, east Riyadh, with 4- to 8-hour visits in a morning or evening shift. A 4-hour visit with one maid starts from SAR 135 and a 6-hour visit from SAR 200. To book, call or WhatsApp 0561940026.
Most homes in An Nadwah are fairly recent villas, duplexes and independent floors, and many have a men’s majlis with a built-in coffee hearth and a double-height living room with a chandelier. This page explains how we plan a visit for a home like that: how many hours it needs, what the maid gets done in the majlis before and after guests, and how she finds your door in a district where many streets go by numbers.

Where is An Nadwah, and what are its homes like?
An Nadwah sits on the eastern edge of Riyadh under the Ash Sharq sub-municipality. To the north it borders An Nadhim across Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Road, to the south it runs to Khurais Road, to the east to Al Janadriyah Road, and to the west it meets Al Maizilah. An Nadwah Street is its main commercial spine, alongside streets such as Al Kifah and Al Ikhlas, and King Fahd International Stadium is roughly 6 km away.
The district is relatively modern in layout. Residential plots are mid-sized, around 248 to 360 m², so the housing is mostly standalone villas, duplexes and independent floors, plus some rental flats. Shops stay on the main roads, which keeps the inner streets quiet and family-oriented. Some property listings file An Nadwah under neighbouring An Nadhim; if your address appears that way, it makes no difference to us, as we go by your pin on the map.
In practice, an An Nadwah home is rarely a small flat that is done in two hours, and rarely a palace that needs a whole crew. It is usually a medium-to-large family house on two levels, with a guest majlis, a family lounge, a kitchen in constant use and bedrooms upstairs. We suggest visit lengths on that basis.
How many hours does a villa or floor in An Nadwah need?
The table below is a practical starting point based on the type of home, not floor area alone. Family size, young children and how often you host all change the picture, so we ask about them when you book and then recommend a length.
Hourly maid prices in An Nadwah
An hourly maid in An Nadwah starts from SAR 135 for a 4-hour visit. These are the same Al-Kauther prices we charge across Riyadh, with no extra for being on the edge of the city. The final price depends on the number of hours, the number of maids, the size of the home and the timing.
These are starting prices set by Al-Kauther Home Services for hourly maid visits in Riyadh; evening, Friday and holiday pricing is confirmed when you book.
A 4-hour visit at SAR 135 works out at about SAR 34 an hour, and less again on a monthly package. If you need an extra hour, for instance to finish the majlis, it starts from SAR 50, as long as it is agreed before the visit ends so the maid’s next booking can be arranged.
The majlis and the coffee hearth: before and after guests
In An Nadwah the majlis is the face of the house. It often has a coffee hearth set into the wall, brass dallah pots lined up on a shelf, long Arabic floor sofas and rugs. These collect dust, ash and smoky smells faster than any other room, especially after an evening of guests.

Before an occasion the maid starts with the majlis. She wipes the hearth surround and shelf once it is cold and unlit, polishes the dallah pots on the outside, cleans side tables and the inside of the windows, vacuums the rugs and sofas, and sets out serving trays and cups. After the guests leave, the work runs the other way: collecting and washing the cups and trays, clearing cold ash from the hearth, airing the room and cleaning the guest bathroom.
- ✓Hearth surround, shelf and marble ledge wiped free of dust and light soot
- ✓Dallah pots and trays polished; coffee and tea cups washed
- ✓Floor sofas, cushions and rugs vacuumed
- ✓Dining area and guest bathroom cleaned before and after the visit
- ✓The majlis put back in order once guests have gone
Double-height lounges and chandeliers
Many of the newer villas in An Nadwah have a lounge that rises two storeys, overlooked by an upstairs gallery with a glass balustrade and a large chandelier hanging in the middle. It looks beautiful, but dust settles where a routine clean never reaches: along the balustrade rail, on its glass panels and on the chandelier rings.

The maid cleans everything she can reach safely: both sides of the balustrade glass, the lower parts of the chandelier with a dry microfibre cloth with the lights switched off, and the sofas and rugs beneath. A chandelier hanging in the centre of a two-storey ceiling needs scaffolding or a lift, which is a technician’s job and outside an hourly visit. We say this plainly because Saudi domestic-worker rules do not allow workers to be given hazardous tasks, and climbing a tall ladder in an open void is one of them.
What an hourly maid does, and what is not included
A visit also covers inside windows and glass, getting the house ready for Ramadan and Eid, and cleaning a home before you move in or after you move out. It does not cover washing exterior façades, moving heavy furniture or nursing care for elderly relatives. We prefer an adult woman of the household to be at home throughout the visit.
Morning or evening? Visit times in An Nadwah
There are two shifts. The morning suits a mother who wants the house done before the children are back from school; the evening suits households where both parents work, or families getting the majlis ready for night-time guests. The visit is timed from the moment the maid arrives at your door, not from when she sets off.
Because An Nadwah is on the far eastern side of the city, we recommend booking evening visits at least a day ahead, particularly before the weekend. Friday and holiday availability, and any difference in the evening price, are confirmed when you book.
Finding your home: numbered streets and your location pin
Some inner streets in An Nadwah are known by numbers, such as “Street 38”, more than by names, and some newer houses do not yet have a clear number plate. So when you book we ask for your location pin on WhatsApp and rely on that rather than a description.
- •Send a live location pin, not just a street name
- •Mention the gate colour or a nearby landmark such as a mosque or school
- •Tell us which door to use: main gate, majlis door or the upstairs entrance
- •If there is a car shade in front of the gate, say where the drop-off car can stop
Monthly packages of hourly visits
If your home needs regular care, a package costs less than booking visits one at a time. A package is simply a set of hourly visits on days you choose. It is not a live-in maid and not a long contract.
- Once a week: 4 visits × 4 hours from SAR 460, a good fit for a flat or independent floor
- Twice a week: 8 visits from SAR 875, for duplexes and larger families
- Three times a week: 12 visits from SAR 1,320, for villas that host often
If you are happy with a particular maid, you can ask for her again on your package visits and we will send her whenever she is available, so from the second visit she already knows your home.

- 2Tell us the type of home, the number of rooms and bathrooms, and what matters most (majlis, kitchen, laundry).
- 3Choose the hours, shift and day; we will suggest a length if you are unsure.
- 4Share your location pin and we confirm the time and price.
- 5The maid arrives on time, works the hours booked, and we collect her afterwards.
Legal workers and nationalities
Al-Kauther maids are legally employed workers with valid residency permits, trained in household work and dressed in a modest uniform. The maid brings basic cleaning tools, and cleaning products are as agreed when you book. Our maids come from African and Asian nationalities, such as Kenyan and Ugandan, depending on who is available when you book; you can ask for a preferred nationality and we will confirm whether she is available.
Hiring a worker who is in breach of residency rules, or who has left her sponsor, is not a cheap shortcut. Under the Passports rules, anyone who employs or shelters a violator faces a fine of up to SAR 100,000 and up to six months in prison, multiplied by the number of workers. Booking through a company makes residency and transport its responsibility, not yours.
