Laban, Dhahrat Laban, Dahiyat Laban — which one do you mean?
The name “Laban” belongs to three separate districts in Riyadh, and people often mix them up when searching or booking. This page is about Laban itself, a west Riyadh district under the Al Uraija sub-municipality, with streets such as Al Khazraj and Al Jamalah. Dhahrat Laban and Dahiyat Laban are two other, independent districts.
Why does it matter? Because the maid heads to the address on the booking, and “Laban” on its own could be read as any of the three. That is why we always ask for your map pin — it settles the question from the start and saves you waiting time.
Homes in Laban and the time they need
The district mixes villas and flats. Villas have reception rooms with decorative gypsum ceilings and hidden lighting, plus several majlis rooms and bedrooms — they need a long visit or two maids. Flats are smaller but full of detail: a dining nook, an open kitchen, pendant lights, and windows that take in Riyadh’s dust all year round.
Flat
4 hours
A full clean of rooms, kitchen and bathrooms; one extra hour for laundry and ironing.
Mid-size villa
6 hours
Living rooms, majlis and bedrooms, with light fittings and shelves dusted.
Large villa
8 hours or two maids
Both floors and the annex — or two maids for 4 hours from SAR 290.
Detail cleaning: ceilings, lights and corners
What guests notice without saying is dust up high: gypsum ceiling edges, AC vents and hanging lights. A standard visit covers floors and surfaces, so if you want the maid to give time to these details, mention them when you book and she will set part of the visit aside for them.
The maid wipes gypsum edges and AC vents with a long-handled duster or from a short, stable household step stool, depending on the ceiling height. Very high ceilings that need scaffolding or a long ladder are off limits — the Domestic Workers Regulation forbids assigning dangerous work, and her safety comes first.

In flats, pendant lights over the dining table — especially rattan or fabric ones — should be dusted gently with a soft brush or dry cloth, never water. Then the table and bench are wiped and the floor underneath vacuumed. A few minutes that make the dining corner look new.

Tip: On a weekly package, give each visit one extra detail in rotation: one week lights and ceilings, one week windows, one week cupboards, one week the majlis and rugs. That way the whole home is covered in a month without any visit running long.

Living in Laban?
A 4-hour visit from SAR 135. WhatsApp your location and we will set the time.
Book now WhatsApp 0561940026Inside the visit and outside it
A visit covers bedrooms, living rooms and majlis, vacuuming rugs, the kitchen and washing-up, bathrooms, laundry, ironing and putting away, interior glass and windows, setting up for guests and clearing after events, and move-in cleaning.
Its limits are clear: no full cooking, no sole care of children or elderly relatives, no climbing tall ladders or cleaning façades, no heavy furniture moving or garden work. We prefer a woman of the family to be home during the visit.
Keeping the home clean between visits
An hourly visit brings the house back to a good state, but keeping it there until the next one comes down to a few simple habits. In Riyadh, dust comes in every time a window or door opens, so keeping them shut on dusty days greatly reduces what the maid finds next time.
- Put a doormat at every outside door — it stops much of the sand before it spreads through the house.
- Give each person a basket for dirty clothes so laundry does not pile up in the rooms.
- Wipe the kitchen worktop after every meal; fresh marks are far easier than dried ones.
- Draw the curtains when the sun and dust are at their worst, protecting furniture and keeping surfaces cleaner.
- Note anything you spot between visits and hand it to the maid as a priority next time.
Shifts and arrival
Mornings suit families who want the house ready before midday; evenings suit those who work in the morning. The clock starts when the maid arrives. Friday and holiday work is confirmed at booking. If your street is narrow and hard to stop on, tell us the nearest drop-off point. Al Khazraj and Al Jamalah are among the streets that appear in Laban addresses; if you live on or near one of them, add the street name and gate colour to your pin — small details that save minutes at the start of the visit.
Nationalities, and why we only use legal labour
Maids are assigned from African and Asian nationalities according to who is available when you book, Kenyan and Ugandan among them, and a preferred nationality can be requested. Each one is on a valid iqama, trained, and dressed modestly for work.
Using irregular labour is not a small risk: whoever employs or houses a worker in breach of residency or labour rules faces up to SAR 100,000 per worker and up to 6 months behind bars, as the General Directorate of Passports has made clear. The Domestic Workers Regulation also forbids hiring out a domestic worker. Booking through a company puts the iqama, transport and legal status on the company.
Monthly hourly packages in Laban
The 4 visits × 4 hours package starts from SAR 460 — ideal for flats with the weekly-detail rotation described above. For villas there is an 8-visit package from SAR 875 and a 12-visit package from SAR 1,320. All visits are hourly, on days and shifts you choose.
