Al-Kauther Home Services sends hourly maids to Al Wadi in north Riyadh to clean flats, independent floors and villas, with visits of 4 to 8 hours in the morning or evening; a 4-hour visit starts from SAR 135. Book by phone or WhatsApp on 0561940026 — we drop the maid at your door and collect her when her time is up.
Al Wadi mixes villas with self-contained floors and apartments, and with two universities close by it is no surprise to find a home office in the house or a lecturer preparing classes at the dining table. This guide is written for homes like these: a home that needs regular care without eating into family time, and a home office that has to be cleaned without anyone losing track of their papers.

Al Wadi: location, boundaries and housing
Al Wadi is a north Riyadh district under the Ash Shamal municipality, covering roughly 4 square kilometres. Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road runs along its north side, next to An Nada; the Northern Ring Road marks the south, with At Taawun beyond it; Othman bin Affan Road and Al Falah lie to the east; and Abu Bakr As Siddiq Road and An Nafel lie to the west.
Riyadh residents know Al Wadi for its cafés and restaurants and for shops close at hand such as Marjan, Al Olayan Plaza and Carrefour, along with the district park, the neighbourhood sports ground and the Qudrat Al Tifl centre. Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, the Saudi Electronic University and Al Nakheel Mall are all nearby. Housing is varied: villas, independent floors with their own entrances, apartments in residential buildings, and plots still under construction.
That variety shapes what people ask us for. Someone living on an upper floor reached by an outside staircase needs a different visit from a family in a whole villa — and both differ from a young professional in a small flat near work.
Flat, floor or villa? How many hours you need in Al Wadi
The question we hear most from Al Wadi is whether 4 hours is enough. It depends on the size of the home, how many people live there and when it was last cleaned thoroughly. This table helps you choose before you call.
Tip: Not sure? Book 5 hours for the first visit. Afterwards you will know whether 4 hours is enough for your regular visits or whether your home needs more.
Hourly maid prices in Al Wadi
Prices in Al Wadi follow Al-Kauther’s standard Riyadh rates: a 4-hour visit starts from SAR 135, longer visits cost more according to the hours booked, and monthly packages bring down the cost of each visit.
Prices from Al-Kauther Home Services’ Riyadh hourly-maid rate card, which applies unchanged in Al Wadi. These are starting prices; the final price follows the hours, number of maids, home size and visit time.
So what actually changes the bill? First the number of hours, then the number of maids, then the type of booking — a one-off visit or a package. Evening, Friday and holiday visits may be priced differently; this is confirmed before you commit to anything.
The home office: cleaning that leaves your papers alone
Plenty of homes in Al Wadi have a study — a lecturer preparing classes, someone working from home a few days a week, a student writing a thesis. That room needs a particular kind of cleaning. Dust on the screen and desk is obvious, but scattered papers may be in an order only their owner understands.

So the maid follows a simple rule: she wipes surfaces and shelves, vacuums the floor and rug and polishes the glass, but she does not reshuffle papers, open drawers or touch devices without permission. If you want the desk fully organised, leave clear instructions — or gather your papers into a box before she arrives.
Changing bed linen and pillowcases as part of the weekly routine
Changing the beds is one of those small jobs busy families keep putting off. In a 4-hour visit the maid can strip the old linen and put it in the washing machine, make the beds with fresh sheets, change the pillowcases, and hang out the wash before she leaves. On a 5-hour visit she can also iron whatever dried from the previous load.

Keep clean linen in one known place and tell the maid which bedrooms come first. That way changing the beds becomes a fixed part of every weekly visit, rather than a backlog that swallows your weekend.
The task list: what the maid does and what stays outside the visit
Included
- ✓Cleaning bedrooms, living rooms and the majlis; sweeping, mopping and vacuuming rugs.
- ✓Kitchen cleaning: washing up, worktops, sink, hob exterior and cupboard fronts.
- ✓Full bathroom cleaning, including mirrors and glass.
- ✓Laundry, hanging out, ironing, folding and putting clothes away.
- ✓Changing bed linen and tidying cupboards.
- ✓Wiping windows and glass from the inside.
- ✓Setting up for guests and clearing up afterwards; cleaning before moving into a new home or after moving out.
Not included
- ✕Cooking full meals — the maid can help with prep and clean the kitchen only.
- ✕Caring for children or older relatives without a family member taking charge.
- ✕Cleaning exterior façades or any work at dangerous heights.
- ✕Moving heavy furniture.
Ideally, a woman of the household should be at home during the visit, especially the first one, to show the maid around and explain what matters most.
For working families: evening visits in Al Wadi
If both partners work, a morning slot may not suit because the house is empty. That is why many Al Wadi residents choose the evening shift: the maid arrives after the family is back from work, and her time counts from the moment she enters. The exact arrival window is set when the booking is confirmed; the evening rate may differ, and we tell you before you confirm.
The district sits between the Northern Ring Road and Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road, both of which get busy at peak times. We factor that into scheduling, and if traffic delays the maid it does not come out of your hours, because the clock only starts when she walks in.
Before the maid arrives: small preparations for floors and flats
- ✓If you live on an upper floor with its own outside staircase, say so when booking so the maid does not knock at the ground-floor door.
- ✓In apartment buildings, send the flat number, floor and how to open the gate or use the intercom.
- ✓If your street is new and has no clear name, send a location pin from your phone’s maps on WhatsApp.
- ✓Set out the cleaning products you prefer — the maid brings the basic cleaning tools; cleaning products are as agreed at booking.
- ✓Put valuables and important papers somewhere closed before the visit.

The maid who comes from Al-Kauther is a legally employed worker with a valid iqama, trained and in modest uniform, and the company handles her transport both ways. A worker offered informally as “available” may be in breach of residency and labour rules, and employing such a person can expose a household to a fine of up to SAR 100,000 and up to 6 months in prison. Domestic-worker rules also forbid employers from hiring out their own worker to others, with fines of up to SAR 20,000.

Our maids come from African and Asian nationalities, subject to availability when you book — Kenyan and Ugandan maids, for example. Tell us your preferred nationality and we will confirm whether it is available for your slot.
